FrOST Mandate

Fredericton Outdoor Summer Theatre (FrOST) is a not-for-profit company specializing in heritage interpretation and educational theatre. As our name suggests we focus on healthy outdoor activities featuring theatrical animation and local issues.

The mandate of FrOST is twofold: one, to provide relevant and engaging educational theatre and activities that explore the many facets of our Canadian culture and heritage; and two, to allow our student employees a chance to develop their talents and abilities in a nurturing environment that emphasizes personal growth.

In our long tradition we have provided very meaningful summer employment to over 400 young people. Many of them have attributed their FrOST summer work experience as being key to their personal development and helping them choose a career path. Our alumni have gone on to a variety of careers from doctors and lawyers to architects, teachers, museum staff, theatre professionals and so on.
